Just like these inspiring Kapamilya celebrities in the showbiz industry who admitted that they personally have gone through different struggles in life before they reached the peak of success on their career.
1. Julia Montes
Being the eldest among her two brothers, Julia or Mara Hautea Schnittka in real life, started her early career in showbiz when she became part of the first batch of children who joined the kiddie gag show “Goin Bulilit” way back in 2008.
Televiewers have witnessed her effectiveness in acting when she played the protagonist role of Clara del Valle on the remake version of the prime time series “Maria Clara.” Since then, various Kapamilya projects were offered to her which gained her the title as “Princess of Philippine Television for Drama”.
At her young age, Julia is indeed a living example of a strong, independent woman. She considers her family as her greatest inspiration and motivation in every sacrifice that she is making in life.
2. Coco Martin
Before he became well-known for his remarkable role on the primetime series “Ang Probinsyano,” Coco went through several challenges in life before he finally became one of the most top-billed actors of the Kapamilya network.
Aside from being an Overseas Filipino Worker in Canada where he served as a janitor, he also worked as a barista, waiter, and a flyer distributor.
Coco started his acting career with various independent films in the country. Since then, he started making his name in the industry after he gained numerous acting awards from the films he was in.
3. Vice Ganda
Vice Ganda or Jose Marie Borja Viceral in real life, has been very vocal about his struggles in the past. Whenever, he has a chance, Vice can’t help but recall the hardships he went through when he was still starting in the industry. In an interview with him on the morning show “Magandang Buhay,” Vice recounted that he used to sell rags.
The death of his father when he was still young urged his mother to work as caregiver in the US.
He started from being an entertainer in a comedy bar which paved the way for him to be discovered as an effective comedian. Now he is one of the most prominent hosts and comedians in the country.
4. Karla Estrada
Before being dubbed as “Queen Mother” by the fans of her son Daniel Padilla, Karla went through various challenges in life. Back when she was still young, Karla’s family was known to be well-off however, after her grandfather died, things turned upside down. She was an aspiring artist, but her mother was against her dream of becoming a celebrity.
Despite being prohibited to join contests, she still joined various singing competitions which then paved the way for her to be discovered by a talent manager. She appeared on “That’s Entertainment” but only for a short period of time because she got pregnant to Daniel at the age of 20.
Now, she is now one of the hosts of the Kapamilya morning show “Magandang Buhay.”
5. Bugoy Drilon
Bugoy was a janitor at a university in Mindoro before he joined the reality tv show “Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2”. After he was hailed as first-runner up of the show, various projects and offers were given to him inside and outside the country. He is now one of the most prominent OPM artists in the local music industry.
6. Ejay Falcon
This “Promdi Hottie of Mindoro” had his stint in the showbiz industry when he joined as a housemate on the reality TV show “Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition Plus” way back in 2008. He was hailed as the grand winner. Since then, he became one of the most sought after leading men on the Kapamilya network. He is now part of the prime time series “The Blood Sisters.”
