Joshua Garcia has finally spoken up about his alleged act of messaging a female fan asking the latter to meet up with him. It was just recently when a netizen posted a screenshot of an alleged private conversation between her and the Kapamilya actor, causing JoshLia fans to express just how displeased they were with the actor’s behavior.
The female netizen claims that the conversation started when Joshua sent her a message on Instagram, commenting on her bikini photo and referring to it as an ‘art photo’. As a fan, she took it as a compliment and even posted a screenshot on Twitter. The actor then privately messaged her on Facebook, asking her where she lives and telling her that he wanted to see her in person.
In an interview with Cinema One, Joshua has finally spoken up about the issue. He said he just wants to focus on his work for now, saying he does not really mind what happens in social media nowadays. He also thanked his supporters for believing in him.
The “The Good Son” actor admitted that he got hurt by the controversy. However, he said he has now moved on from it.
When asked if he tried to talk to Julia Barretto about the issue, Joshua said he does not need to answer that question as it is a personal one. He said such things are only for them to discuss in private. The Kapamilya actor added that he needs to focus on the positive things for now, because it would do him no good to dwell on the negative.
Joshua also said he has already accepted the fact that being part of rumors and controversies comes with the territory.
