Former De La Salle University (DLSU) volleyball team co-captain Michelle Gumabao is among the headliners of this year’s Binibining Pilipinas. Along with 39 other hopefuls to the crown, Michelle paraded with her colorful attire and headdress on Saturday, March 10, at the Big Dome—and the audience could not help but admire the vibrant sight.
The former “Lady Spikers” player took to her Instagram page to share the “magical” experience, wherein she also thanked everyone who supported her through this journey.
“So much people came out to support! To all my michelins who cheered their hearts out, I heard you guys and I love each and every one of you!!! What an unforgettable experience indeed!”
However, rumor has it that Michelle might get axed from the prestigious pageant due to a certain sexy photo. But to the TV personality, she’s not going to be affected by this mere hearsay.
“I’m used to it and I learned how to buck it out. I’m mature enough to just listen to it and take it into consideration and I know the truth and I’m not going be affected by it.”
Moreover, Michelle’s focus is on training to win the highly sought-after crown. She shared that she’s taking some time off from her social media pages as well. Only a few days left and she will be strutting her way to the top.
“We’re behind closed doors. I don’t have access to social media that much. I don’t really know what’s happening in the outside world. I feel like I’m in PBB again.”
The 2018 Binibining Pilipinas’ Grand Coronation will be held on Sunday, March 18, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
