After the blockbuster success of “Gandarrapido: The Revenger Squad,” beauty queen turned actress Pia Wurtzbach is on a roll with her film career on the rise. She couldn’t help but get emotional during the press conference of her upcoming romantic comedy “My Perfect You,” which was held at the ELJ Building.
The film stars the Miss Universe 2015 title holder and hunky leading man Gerald Anderson. It was directed by Cathy Garcia-Molina.
According to a report by PEP, an emotional Pia admitted that she wouldn’t be an actress today if not for her success as a beauty queen. She said she waited for sixteen years before her big break as an actress.
“I’ve always wanted to be a beauty queen.
So I can say that before Miss Universe, this was my first dream.
She also admitted that she was very grateful for the hardships she had to endure for her to get to this point in her career, since her blessings came at the right time.
“Yung sa labas, nakita ko yung malaking billboard pagdaan namin, sabi ko, ‘Never did I imagine na makikita ko ang sarili ko diyan.’
For some reason, nakatatak sa isip ko na Miss Universe ako, I will win the crown.
The rom-com film will premiere in cinemas on March 14th.
